An exquisite pair of genuine antique Art Nouveau silver marcasite drop earrings dating from the early 20th Century c1900-1910's
DETAILS
The fine pierced design of these beautiful earrings has glittering hand set marcasite stones and a cabouchon blue Chalcedony stone to the centre. The drop is hinged at the point where it connects to the pretty bow they so that they move and twinkle nicely when worn.
They are handcrafted in 800 silver and stamped on both earrings to the reverse. Silver stamped 800 is usually continental and I would guess that these may possibly be Austrian.
The have the old continental style hinged/lever back hook wires for pierced ears which are more secure than a normal hook.
It's quite rare now to find fine quality, hand crafted, genuine antique earrings like these, so many are mass produced copies!
I have had the earrings in my collection for many years and now feel it is time to pass them on for someone else to enjoy :-)

CONDITION : These earrings are very well made and in excellent vintage condition with patination. They will be presented in a lovely new box. Old box not for sale.

Vintage Jewel Box want you to be really happy with your item.
We aim to give an honest description pointing out any obvious flaws. There are lots of images which you can ZOOM and below a 'Condition guideline' to help you.
- EXCELLENT : Very little wear and no obvious flaws.
- VERY GOOD : Very minor/light wear commensurate with age.
- GOOD : Some age wear. Can be seen but does not detract.
- NEW : This is a brand new item not owned by anyone else and in new condition.
Please remember that Antique and Vintage items sometimes have signs of wear commensurate with age.... It's part of their charm!

Customs Duty & Tax : If you are outside the UK you may be liable to pay Customs Duty/VAT/GST/Tax on your purchase. Importing rules are different for each country so please check your countries regulations before placing an order. RETURNS
We are happy to do a refund for any reason if you decide the item isn't right for you. Contact us via email so we can give you the returns address. You have 14 days from receipt of the item to send it back.
The following conditions apply.
1 : Item must be in the original condition, we will not accept a return if the ring has been resized or the item altered in any way.
2 : Please keep the inventory tag attached to the ring or item. We will not accept a return if the inventory tag is missing.
3 : Item must be returned in the presentation box and carefully packed.
4 : Items which have been re-sized by our jeweller cannot be returned as they are considered to be a custom order.
It is recommended that you use a tracked service and send us the tracking number. Shipping from the Vintage Jewel Box and return shipping to Vintage Jewel Box is not refundable.
Please note, any order cancelled before being shipped will be refunded minus the transaction fee charged to VJB by the payment provider who processed the order.
If an overseas shipment is returned as refused to sign for/not accepted by the buyer all transaction fees, shipping and UK import charges will be deducted from the refund.

How long does my order take to process?
We aim to pack and ship your order within 1/2 business days.
How is my order shipped?
UK orders are shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery guaranteed next day, tracked and insured.
International orders ship either by Royal Mail or DHL depending on the order value.
Occasionally there are delays with customs, the shipper, the weather etc which are out of our control.
We are a UK business, so buyers outside the UK please be aware you may be liable for Duty and/or Taxes on your purchase.
Can the ring be resized?

Most high street jewellery shops do resizing and you can get a perfect fit by going in person. If you prefer this option we are happy to offer advice as to whether a ring may be altered to your size. Resized rings cannot be returned.
Does the ring/jewellery come in a box?
All of our jewellery comes with a new presentation box. Wherever possible we use environmentally friendly, recyclable packaging and pack with care so your item arrives in perfect condition.
Is your jewellery certificated?
In the UK most antique & vintage diamond rings & jewellery do not come with certificates or appraisals. I have 30 years experience selling jewellery and all our items are cleaned, checked and tested by jewellery specialists and gemologists. Some pieces are appraised by a registered independent National Association of Jewellers Appraiser & Valuer and this will be clearly stated on the listing : Certificated Rings
Is your jewellery guaranteed?
Due to the age and nature of antique pieces our jewellery doesn't come with a guarantee, however, we check and test everything carefully and only sell items in good wearable condition that we would be happy to own ourselves.
Do you accept returns?
Yes, we accept returns. Keep the tag on the ring and contact us within 7 days of receiving the item so we can give you the returns address. You have 14 days from receipt to send it back. We do not accept returns for items which have been resized or altered by our jeweller or yours. The return shipping is paid by the buyer and is not refundable.

What is the condition of the item?
All our jewellery has been pre owned so it will show some signs of wear. We are always careful to describe items as accurately and honestly as possible and provide detailed close up images.
